Here are two pieces related to potential (and favorable) changes to three radio services.
The first is from ARRL and the second (with an easier to read summary of the possible changes) is from a radio vendor.
If these changes are made it would be a huge help for many CERTs, especially if there are few ham operators in thier team(s). Being able to use 2 watts on FRS would be a big help for those limited to that service.
The increase of the GMRS license life from 5 to 10 years (along with the other changes for GMRS) would likely see more people get licensed.
